The Tailings Center partners with industry to deliver tailings-focused educational opportunities and provides tailings-focused short courses and workshops for both online and in-person offerings.
Tailings Center member universities provide graduate certificates in Tailings Engineering. Outreach to undergraduates highlights the challenges and opportunities for a career in tailings management with an eye toward recruiting the best candidates into this area. Graduate programs in tailings management at each participating university provide uniquely focused training for tailings engineers of the future. The Center also provides a nexus for dissemination of best practices and industry benchmarking.

Short Courses
The Tailings Center has developed six short courses that provide registrants with an understanding of the Fundamentals of Tailings Management.
Graduate Certificate
Tailings and the proper management of them are essential. The Tailings Engineering Graduate Certificate is for those who wish to specialize in interdisciplinary fields that include understanding emerging technical and social issues in this discipline.
